  • We process only the tweet or page you choose to translate or analyze.
  • Sign-in uses your Discord ID, name and avatar. We never see your password or email.
  • We never connect to your wallet and never ask for a private key or seed phrase.
  • We do not sell your data, show ads, or track your browsing.

Who we are

Search X is a browser extension that helps memecoin traders understand the tweets behind coins on Axiom and GMGN. It translates, summarizes and fact-checks those tweets. This policy explains what data the extension and its server handle, why, and what control you have.

What we collect and why

Discord account
When you sign in with Discord (scope identify) we receive your Discord user ID, username and avatar. We use them to create your account, show your balance and keep your translation quota. We do not receive your email or password.
Content you choose to analyze
When you use a summary, a narrative check, a question or "Summarize this page", we receive the tweet's ID, the coin details shown on the page (name, links, image) and, for page summaries, the page text. Our server then reads the public tweet, its author's public profile and related public posts and news on its own, and sends that to our AI provider to produce the answer. For "Summarize this page" we also receive the page's domain name and any X account names linked on the page, and our server looks them up in public records (see below).
Credits and usage
Your credit balance and a record of each use of the AI features: which feature, which model, how much it was used, the cost and the time. We need this to charge you correctly, to prevent abuse and to understand our costs.
Translation count
The number of words translated on your account, so we can show it and apply the free quota. The text of translated tweets is not stored on our server.
Deposits
For each deposit: the order reference, token (SOL or USDC), amount, our receiving address, status, time and, once paid, the Solana transaction signature. Solana transactions are public by nature. We never hold your funds or keys.
Discord invites
If you join or invite people to our Discord server, our bot records who joined through which invite, when, the account creation date (derived from the Discord ID) and whether they left. This decides who earns translation words.
Network data
Your IP address reaches our server with every request. We use it only to limit abuse (rate limits and automatic blocking of attackers). Counters are kept in memory for minutes, and a blocked address is remembered for up to 24 hours.

What stays on your device

Your settings (language, quality level, toggles), your sign-in state, a cache of recent translations and analyses, and your local usage history are kept in the extension's own storage in your browser. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the extension removes them.

Services contacted

The extension itself contacts only these services. They receive the request (for example, the text to translate) and your IP address, under their own privacy policies:

Our server fetches the rest of the public data for the magnifier on your behalf, so those sites see our server's address, not yours: FxTwitter and X's public embed service (tweets and public profiles), Google News, Bing and DuckDuckGo (news search), GitHub, Reddit, TikTok and TikWM (links found in a tweet), and DexScreener and Jupiter (coin data). For the page report, our server also checks public records about the page's domain: domain registration data (RDAP registries), the Internet Archive, public DNS (Cloudflare) and the public profile of X accounts linked on the page. Our server never opens the page's own website. When you run the report, the extension itself reads the page you are on and a few of its own pages to build the summary; it does not read other websites.

Our processors

Sensitive pages

"Summarize this page" only runs when you click it. If a page looks like it may contain private information (email, banking, account pages), the extension asks for confirmation before sending anything.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not use it for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose. We share data only with the processors above, to provide the service, or when required by a legal obligation.

Retention

Your choices

Security

All traffic to our server uses HTTPS. Your session is a signed token stored in the extension and can be revoked. The AI key and the receiving wallet's configuration exist only on the server, never in the extension. The server limits requests per address, blocks abusive addresses automatically and rejects malformed requests.

Children

Search X is meant for adults who trade crypto assets. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information received from Google APIs and browser data will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in our Discord.
